The Concerned Alumni of the United States Naval Academy represent a unified body of alumni and friends of the Academy who share a deep and abiding affection for our alumni association and our beloved alma mater.  This affection manifests itself in a steadfast concern about the direction and focus of these venerable institutions.

This email group will eliminate the confusion about who's on the list and who's not.  If you elect to join this group then all the administrivia associated with getting the messages to the group will be eliminated.  If you choose not to join the group you won't be part of the conversation.

You can start by simply sending messages to members of this group at usna_ca@yahoogroups.com  
To get the full flavor of the depth, purpose, and direction of the group, you need to access its website as a full-fledged member.  This takes a little doing, but the trip is worth the reward.

1.    You have to register with Yahoo and get a unique Yahoo ID.  This can be accomplished on the site that you enter when you first attempt to go to:   http://groups.yahoo.com/group/usna_ca/polls
2.  Once you get your Yahoo ID, which lets you access all of Yahoo's stuff, you need to link your email to our Yahoo Group.  This can be accomplished via: http://groups.yahoo.com/convwiz  .  Essentially they check your regular email address against the concerned alumni list.  At one point, they ask for your "registration number", which you do not have.  They will send you one via email.  I assume that they are unique, but you could try the one that they sent me. i.e. 46038
