Here's what it will give us:
  --A Web-based interface for subscribing, modifying your account
     (you can select the digest or temporarily suspend delivery of mail),
     or unsubscribing.
  --Web-based, subscriber-only archives with a download option
  --Web-based ability to see who else is currently subscribed
  --Only members can post to the list

The Web-based interface is at http://homeport.usnaweb.org/mailboat.html.

I will switch all members of the list over to the new address tomorrow and
you will receive a new subscriber message with all the details. Please
don't subscribe using the Web-based interface as I would prefer to get everyone
on at once. The old list will be phased out over about a two week period and
after that I hope to have an auto-response message at the old address
directing folks to the Webpage for the new list address.

Yup, I am excited about this!
