We Provide:
-
Advocacy - We provide training which gives you the tools to make a child's school days a success. We attend IEPs and ISPs to ensure that the outcome is a successful one. In-house trainings are provided on all aspects of school, provider and Division responsibilities, parent and client rights, and self-advocacy. In-house training is also offered on service systems; how to navigate the services offered through AHCCCS,
SSD / SSI, and private agencies, and how to effectively coordinate those services to ensure that needs are met. Any and all disability-related issues are covered in self-advocacy trainings.
-
Public Awareness and Systems Change - How people with disabilities are viewed has changed over the past few decades. Changes in the structure of society takes longer. Access to transportation, housing, employment, and community supports is a priority for people with disabilities, their families, and their caregivers. We support those changes which make accessibility a reality. Please contact our office anytime you are unsure of your rights, or in need of an advocate to help with accessibility issues.
-
Information and Referral -
There are hundreds of agencies out there that can help, but first you have to find them! Please call us for any services you can't find, issues you can't resolve, or general information. ·
